PHYSICAL HEALTH & Psychological wellbeing
Having lived with a severe form of rheumatoid arthritis for the past decade, I understand firsthand the bidirectional relationship between physical and mental health. This complicated connection between things can really affect how we feel, think, and act, and it can have a big impact on our mental and emotional health.
I understand the emotional rollercoaster that often accompanies the diagnosis of a physical illness. I am keenly aware of the impact it can have on one's quality of life, leading to feelings of overwhelm, loss, grief, and anger. I understand that sometimes, this can make you feel like you're losing control over your life, lonely, and frustrated because others may not fully grasp what you're going through or how to help you get back to feeling like yourself again.

In addition to individual struggles, I understand that chronic illness can extend its effects to relationships and support systems. I acknowledge the far-reaching impact on personal connections and the challenges it presents. I am committed to addressing these wider implications, working collaboratively with you to foster understanding, communication, and support within your support networks.
Using my own experience and understanding, I'm committed to offering complete care that recognises how our physical and mental health is connected. I create a safe and supportive space for you to explore and navigate the complicated impact of your physical illness on your mental and emotional wellbeing.
